The OB Peacock Cichlid is a vibrant hybrid of Aulonocara species, selectively bred for its striking blotched coloration. No two OB Peacocks look the same—each fish features a unique combination of orange, blue, black, and sometimes white or yellow markings. This unpredictability in pattern makes them one of the most visually dynamic additions to African cichlid aquariums.
OB Peacocks are semi-aggressive and thrive in well-structured tanks with plenty of space, rockwork, and stable water parameters. While males typically show brighter and more complex coloration, females can also be attractive and colorful.
